WINDSOR, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) _ A construction worker reportedly died on the job in an accident Friday afternoon in Windsor.
NBC Connecticut reports that Danny King, 51, was killed in an excavator accident while working for King Construction Friday around 1:30 p.m. He’s apparently the son of the owner of the company.
It’s reported that he was crushed between a backhoe and trench box while inside the trench, according to his father, John King, who owns the Bloomfield company.
The work was being done at the intersection of Prospect Hill Road and Poquonock Avenue in Windsor.
They were apparently working with the state Department of Transportation to install a replacement water line in the area.
